Seth J. Hill

I am Postdoctoral Associate, Center for the Study of American Politics at the Institution for Social and Policy Studies, Yale University.

Beginning summer 2012, I will be Assistant Professor,
Department of Political Science, University of California, San Diego.

My areas of research include American Politics and Political Methodology. I study voting behavior in the United States. My main interest is the effects of turnout and partisan switching on election outcomes across consecutive elections. My research uses statistical methods to identify patterns in American voting from large-scale data compilations such as opinion surveys, ballot images, and adminstrative voter files.
